My kiddos!!!

 Our handsome little boy!!! He is so different than Christiana was as a baby. He is very content to just hang out and watch us play. A great eater and sleeper!! :) Makes my life a lot easier.

 Christiana is a fun 1 year old who loves to squeal and make as much noise as possible! I wouldnt have it any other way.

Joseph Eugene Ackley has arrived.

I will post pictures as soon as I can, but I wanted to let you guys know that he is here. :) It was a hard labor but a quick one. Went in to be induced on friday March 22 at 6:15 a.m. At 9 they started the process and around noon broke my water. By 1:44 p.m. Joseph arrived. He weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 19 1/2 in long. :)

Wow!!! Time never seems to slow down. I thought for sure I had posted in December, but I guess I did not. God was very good to us in the year 2012. Learning to wait on Him and trust in Him was definitely worked on and we are looking forward to going further with Christ in 2013.

I was reading my friends blog yesterday and she always has a funny story to tell. I am not sure if funny things happen in my life and I forget them or I just don't pay attention to them. New years resolution is to pay attention to the funny stuff. Sometimes I believe I get so caught up in other things I do forget to enjoy the little things God puts in our lives to make us smile. :)

Something to look forward to this year is meeting our handsome little boy! I am 30 weeks along and almost ready to have this baby!! We are excited and nervous about having 2 little ones around. Since we are still in the trailer they will be sharing a room for a while. The Lord provided a good deal on a double stroller and an awesome deal on a car seat. I had to get rid of all the things I had for Christiana because they were pink. So now I have grey and black. Hopefully they will keep for a while and I will not have to buy any more.

Two kids in my church wanted to be a blessing to someone since they were so blessed for Christmas. There mom told them to pray about it and to give something away they had gotten. They both decided to give me there walmart gift cards. I just about cried!!! It was incredibly sweet to see their giving hearts. They told me to buy something for the new baby with them. :) Now that brings a smile on my face. God provides in so many different ways. He abundantly blesses when I do what He asks of me.

I don't know if I had mentioned it before, but I have started making tie quilts. I am in the midst of making one for my brother's baby. (who is to be born in the next week or so) I made 2 jean quilts for a lady's boys for Christmas. I enjoy doing them but I would like to learn more things. I really would like to learn to follow a pattern. I want to make some aprons and maybe even clothes if I can learn. If anybody has tips for me please let me know.

Well there are lots of things to get done around here so I best go for now. I will do my best to not let so much time go before my next post. :)

Beautiful Fall Weather!

I love it when it gets chilly outside!!! We just had a hurricane come through for the past 2 days and cold weather is starting to settle in now. Started the wood stove yesterday and it is nice and cozy in my house. :) Leaves are falling everywhere and the trees are beautiful around here!!

I am now 20 weeks pregnant and so glad I am halfway through! I am feeling good and trying really hard to watch what I am eating. I have gained 11 pounds thus far and would prefer to keep the weight gain as little as possible. Hard to say no to all the wonderful food but God has been helping me to eat better. I am not suppose to focus on losing weight but because I have been eating better I have lost a little. I hope to lose 1 pound this week so that I would only be 10 pounds heavier. My back is really bothering me this time around and the weight gain hurts it even more. Walking 2 miles a day with my mom for exercise. I feel I am exercising all the time though with chasing Christiana around. :)
Our little munchkin is now 1!!!!!!! Crazy how fast time flies!!!! Here are some pics...... (Christiana just woke up so I have to for now)

happenings

A lot has happened since my last post. We did not get the house due to finding lead paint in it. I am thankful they found it but wish it would have been noted sooner. God is in control though and has a reason for us staying put for now. Unpacked everything and went ahead and set up the new crib in Christiana's room. Tight fit with 2 cribs in there but it will work for now.

I found out Monday that I am 13 weeks prego!!! So excited to be that far, and hoping the sickness will go away soon. Missed church again tonight because of puking. :( It was sooooo neat though to get to see the ultrasound. Toes, fingers, and a nose already visible. oh and of course the heartbeat!!!! Truelly is an awesome miracle of God. :)

Doing a yard sale this weekend at my grandparents house. My friend and I have a lot of stuff we need to sell. I think it will be a lot of fun and hopefully make some money too. :)

Patience...necessary but hard in coming!

Thanks so much Sandy and Anna for commenting on my last post. As usual I cant promise anything but I will try to post once a week.

I go to the doctor on Monday to find out how far along I am. So excited to get to hear the heartbeat of this little one! I have been pretty sick ever since I found out I was pregnant. No rhyme or reason to my sickness but everyday at some point I am sick. Today is this evening. No church for me because of it. I would much rather barf in my own toilet than the ones at church. :) Waiting this long to go the doctor makes me oh so excited to find out all the info!!! Estimated I may be 12 weeks already, but I will find out oh so very soon!!!

We have a long hard struggle with house problems this past 3 months. We have found one that we love and are in the process of trying to close on it, but its seems everything that could go wrong is! For every 15 day extension that you have to get  (which is because our loan has still not gone through) (We had 45 days originally to get closed on it) it cost 375 dollars. We have now had 3 extensions!!!!!!!!! Patience is so very hard! I dont know whether to pack or not. I have started some boxes but I have stopped packing due to how long things are taking. Please pray that they will get everything done by the end of this 15 day period!!! We are running out of money to keep this up!!!!!

Our church just started a ladies Bible study, and we had our first get together yesterday. It went very well and I do believe I will learn a ton from it! Just the fellowship of ladies is extremely uplifting. I love my husbands company and my daughters giggles but there is just something about Christian Ladies with a desire to draw closer to God that puts a smile on my face. :)
